Head Chef
Job Description
Tasks and Responsibilities :
• Oversee and direct all kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management
• Develop and implement creative, high-quality menu items that showcase your culinary expertise and align with the restaurant’s brand and vision
• Ensure consistent food quality, portion control, and presentation across all dishes
• Manage and train a team of skilled chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
• Collaborate with the management team to control food and labor costs, optimize operations, and drive revenue growth
• Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, well-organised kitchen
Requirements :
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior culinary role
• Proven track record of successfully managing a busy kitchen operation and leading a team of chefs
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu development, and cost control strategies
• Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Passion for creating innovative, visually appealing dishes that delight customers
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Formal culinary training or a degree in Culinary Arts, or equivalent experience
