Finance and Tax Manager
Job Description
Tasks and Responsibilities :
1. Financial Reporting & Analysis :
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Conduct variance analysis, comparing actuals against forecasts or budgets.
• Provide insights into financial performance and trends.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting :
• Lead the budget preparation process and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Conduct periodic financial forecasts to ensure the company’s financial goals are on track.
3. Cash Flow Management :
• Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
• Work closely with treasury departments to optimize working capital.
4. Tax Compliance :
• Ensure compliance with Indonesia’s tax regulations (PPh, VAT, etc.).
• Work with tax advisors to ensure that all tax filings (corporate income tax, VAT, etc.) are submitted on time.
5. Financial Strategy & Risk Management :
• Provide recommendations to the senior leadership team on financial planning and strategic decisions.
• Manage and mitigate financial risks, such as currency fluctuations, credit risks, or interest rate changes.
6. Regulatory Compliance :
• Ensure the organization is compliant with Indonesian financial regulations, such as the Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK) rules and other relevant laws.
7. Internal Controls & Audit :
• Maintain strong internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and address any findings.
8. Team Management :
• Manage a team of accountants and financial analysts, overseeing their professional development and performance.
Requirements :
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) would be a plus.
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or other professional certifications can be an advantage.
• 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or auditing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Familiarity with Indonesian tax regulations and local financial laws.
• Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Excel).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial managers.
• Knowledge of the local business environment and the ability to navigate the complexities of the Indonesian market.
Work Environment :
• Finance Managers in Indonesia often work in various sectors, including multinational corporations (MNCs), local businesses, manufacturing, services, banking, or consultancy.
• Knowledge of local business customs and fluency in Bahasa Indonesia is crucial for effective communication with local teams, regulators, and clients.
