Job Description

Tasks and Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain project cost control systems, including establishing project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost breakdown structures (CBS).
• Monitor and control actual project expenditures against budget, including tracking of commitments, expenditures, and forecasts to ensure early identification of cost overruns.
• Analyze cost variances, support root cause identification, and prepare cost performance reports (CPR) for internal and external stakeholders.
• Interface with planning, procurement, engineering, and construction teams to ensure cost estimates are aligned with physical progress and scheduling updates.
• Provide monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc cost reports to management, SKK Migas, and joint venture partners as required.
• Evaluate and incorporate change orders, variation requests, and contract amendments into overall cost control and forecasting.
• Support budget revisions, AFE (Authorization for Expenditure) updates, and long-term project financial planning.
• Maintain accurate records of cost commitments, accruals, invoice tracking, and interface with finance for payment status updates.
• Assist in developing cost databases, benchmarking, and lessons learned for future cost estimating and project optimization.
• Ensure compliance with internal cost control procedures and applicable SKK Migas cost recovery requirements.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Accounting, or other closely related technical/commercial fields from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in cost control or project controls within the oil C gas industry, with strong exposure to EPC and/or offshore projects.
• Proficient in cost control software (e.g., Primavera Cost Manager, EcoSys, Cleopatra, or ERP systems like SAP/Oracle).
• Strong understanding of work breakdown structure (WBS), CBS, earned value management (EVM), and cost forecasting techniques.
• Familiar with SKK Migas cost structure and financial reporting standards, including AFE, WPCB, and cost recovery frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to interpret engineering documents, procurement data, and contract scopes for cost integration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) and capable of generating detailed dashboards and reports.
• Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in multidisciplinary teams under tight deadlines.
• Willing to travel to project sites (onshore/offshore) when required.
