Job Description

Tasks and Responsibilities :

• Responsible for executing a variety of bakery items, including breads, pastries, amenities, and desserts, while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, quality, and creativity.
• Responsibility is to prepare and serve baked goods efficiently, showcasing both traditional techniques and modern baking methods.
• Collaboration with the Chef de Cuisine Pastry and Bakery and other culinary team members is essential to enhance the overall dining experience.
• Prepare and present a wide range of baked goods, including homemade breads, viennoiseries, pastries, and desserts, utilizing scratch cooking techniques.
• Demonstrate proficiency in modern baking techniques, including fermentation, proofing, and decorating.
• Contribute to a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations by delivering high-quality, beautifully presented baked goods.
• Engage with guests to share knowledge about the baking process, enhancing their dining experience and fostering appreciation for artisanal bread and pastries.

Other Duties and Responsibilities :

• Demonstrate proficiency in modern baking techniques, including fermentation, proofing, and decorating.
• Support a live baking station in one of the outlets.
• Support daily bread service for all outlets

Requirements :

• Minimum of 3 years of dedicated baking experience in a professional kitchen, with a focus on luxury hospitality or yacht/cruise line operations preferred.
• Experience in luxury hospitality or yacht/cruise line operations is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in English are essential.
• Familiarity with food and beverage operational systems is a must.
• Michelin Star restaurant or hotel experience is considered ideal.

Preferred :

• Fluency in additional language(s)
• Cruise Ship Experience.

Required computer skills :

• Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Possess sufficient computer knowledge to use the company software.
