Job Description

Tasks and Responsibilities :

• Responsibility is to support the Chef de Cuisine Pastry and Bakery in preparing and serving bakery items efficiently, learning both traditional techniques and modern bakery artistry.
• Executing a variety of baked items, including breads, petits gâteaux, homemade pastries, and special amenities, while adhering to the highest standards of hygiene and quality.
• Follow established recipes and bakery standards to ensure consistency and quality in every item produced.
• Contribute to the presentation of pastries and breads, ensuring they reflect the artistry of high-end work.

Other Duties and Responsibilities :

• Uphold high standards of food quality and presentation, ensuring compliance with health and safety
regulations.
• Assist in monitoring inventory levels of pastry ingredients and communicate needs for restocking to
the Chef de Partie.
• Assist in the preparation of a wide range of pastries, breads, and other such baked goods, utilizing scratch cooking techniques.

Requirements :

• Minimum of 1-2 years of baker experience in a professional kitchen is preferred, with exposure to luxury hospitality or yacht/cruise line operations being advantageous.
• Experience in luxury hospitality or yacht/cruise line operations is preferred. Strong communication skills and proficiency in English are essential.

• Familiarity with food and beverage operational systems is a must.

Preferred :

• Fluency in additional language(s)
• Cruise Ship Experience.

Required computer skills :

• Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Possess sufficient computer knowledge to use the company software.
