Laundry Assistant Manager – Four Seasons Yachts – Jakarta
Job Description
Tasks and Responsibilities :
• Work with and notify the Housekeeping Supervisor and Executive Housekeeper of all activities and
problems regarding the Laundry Operation.
• Organize and control the laundry department and maintain all relevant records.
• Ensure proper procedures are followed to avoid any damage to ship or company property.
• Follow up with the Engineering Department on repair orders (AVO) and preventive maintenance.
• Conduct regular water analysis.
• Check on production methods and procedures, issue necessary orders to correct shortcomings, maintain accurate inventory and monitor and control stock as required.
• Ensure chemical locker is kept neat and tidy and all chemicals are separated correctly. That MSDS
sheet file is kept up to date.
• Ensure personal appearance, hygiene, and uniform are in accordance with company rules and
regulations.
• Responsibility for quarterly linen inventory management counts ensuring proper par is accounted for
and discard linen is sorted and tracked.
Other Duties and Responsibilities :
• Ensure confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
• Achieve the primary objectives of the position and comply with the above-mentioned accountabilities
in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with FSY policies.
• Project a favorable image of the company, promote its aims and objectives, and foster and enhance public recognition and acceptance of all its areas and endeavors.
• Always comply with the safety and pollution prevention regulations and operating procedures, participating in all relevant meetings and training sessions.
• Participate in all mandatory training without excuse.
Requirements :
• Minimum of five years related experience as Laundry Master in luxury hotels and/or onboard cruise line.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Communicate effectively and clearly with guest and team members.
• Team player.
• Open minded and flexible.
• Well-groomed and neat in appearance.
• Must be cost and quality conscious.
• Adhere to specific scheduled work hours yet be flexible if circumstances require it.
• Work with international team members.
• Aware of Breakage Prevention Procedures
• Perform assigned duties under pressure (time constraints)
Preferred :
• Fluency in additional language(s)
• Cruise Ship Experience.
Required computer skills :
• Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Possess sufficient computer knowledge to use the company software.
