Resident Medical Officer – Siloam Hospitals Ambon
Job Description
Tasks and Responsibilities :
• Performing initial patient assessment upon admission (at least once) according to the patient’s condition in the Integrated Notes Form in SOAP format comprehensively.
• Executing instructions from specialist doctors or Direct Supervisors (as stated in the outpatient/inpatient referral letter from OPD/ED/OT/ward).
• Handling life-saving procedures and documenting them in the Medical Record, communicating with the Direct Supervisor, and explaining the patient’s general condition to the patient or their family.
• Preparing medical records/patient status: Double-checking medication names, doses, administration methods on the Flow Sheet. Rechecking laboratory test results. Verifying Diagnostic Imaging results (Radiology, Ultrasound, CT Scan, etc.) by initialing with clear signature, name, date, and time of examination results.
• Implementing procedures and practices for quality and safety services, including training, to support the achievement of hospital-wide indicators and department/unit goals.
Requirements :
• Bachelor Degree from General Medicine
• In-depth understanding of medical procedures, diagnostics, and patient care practices. Familiarity with hospital protocols and standards.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to address complex medical issues, make informed decisions, and adapt to changing clinical situations.
• Accurate documentation of patient histories, treatment plans, and medical outcomes. Compliance with hospital record-keeping standards and legal requirements.
• Have minimum 5 years work experience in a hospital
