Network Security Engineer

Job Description

Tasks and Responsibilities :

• Perform inspections and maintenance on network hardware & software, ensuring system functionality, capacity, and performance.
• Troubleshoot incidents related to network devices and firewalls.
• Adjust configurations and settings to optimize system performance.
• Assist with reconfiguring or addressing technical needs related to IT service and Data Center integration.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance, patch updates, and system upgrades for network devices and firewalls.
• Monitor network activity to detect potential threats or suspicious behavior.
• Handle security incidents, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform risk assessments and identify network security vulnerabilities.
• Document security procedures and incident reports for internal use.
• Be available for support outside office hours, as needed, for incident troubleshooting and project assistance.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Network Security Engineer or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.).
• Experience with network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Network and/or IT Security certifications at the Associate level or higher.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
