Data Scientist Intern

Job Description

Tasks and Responsibilities :

• Conduct data exploration and discovery on data from a variety of sources and various types, including text data, relational data, voice data, etc.
• Conduct experiments with data, build working prototypes to demonstrate the ideas/results.
• Utilize existing software packages and libraries, or build new components according to specs.
• Participate in research under supervision.

Requirements :

• Currently pursuing a degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar discipline).
• Basic knowledge of application of data analysis, machine learning, data mining, and statistical analysis
• Intermediate level programming capabilities, using python or app development tools
• Strong mathematical foundations
• Working knowledge of databases systems, data processing and visualization tools
• Ability to take ambiguous directions and high level descriptions of problems and identify precise, quantitative solutions
