Job Description

A F&B Group in Medan, Indonesia is looking for a talented and enthusiastic General Manager Culinary (Full Time)

Tasks and Responsibilities :

• Ensure the smooth and efficient daily operations of the F&B department as well as providing guests with an exceptional level of service and care
• Oversee banquet operations, ensuring flawless execution of weddings, corporate events and social functions
• Maintain close interaction with guests to ensure satisfaction, personalized service and premium dining experiences
• Manage guest feedback effectively to drive continuous improvement and innovation in food and beverage offerings
• Develop and implement the F&B department’s annual business plan, along with medium-to-long-term strategies, setting key performance objectives to achieve business targets and drive sustainable, profitable growth
• Lead restaurant and event teams in cost control while maintaining high service standards and operational excellence across all outlets
• Ensure compliance with all operational standards related to sanitation requirements, food safety regulations, operating licenses and loss prevention
• Conduct regular hygiene audits in collaboration with the Executive Chef and Stewarding team
• Maintain and elevate operational standards by ensuring all SOPs are relevant, up-to-date, properly trained and consistently executed
• Play an active role in marketing initiatives to maximize exposure of all F&B concepts including the planning and execution of annual and monthly promotional campaigns
• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing, diverse team that embodies a culture of excellence and true hospitality
• Prepare annual capital, cash flow and sales & marketing plans to support accurate financial forecasting and budgeting
• Analyze financial reports to drive revenue, maximize profitability and ensure optimal return on investment

Requirements :

• Indonesian citizen
• Excellent in written and spoken English communication
• Proven at least 5 years of experience working as a General Manager Culinary or in a similar role
• Strong expertise in all aspects of F&B operations, including Front of House and Back of House, revenue management and customer service standards
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills with a proven track record in F&B operations
• Proven ability to lead a diverse team, motivate staff, and foster a positive work culture
• Strong financial acumen with proficiency in budgeting, forecasting and cost-control strategies
• Ability to conceptualize, promote and execute innovative F&B promotional events
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and people management skills
• Certified in food safety and operations management from a reputable institution
