Bar Back (Daily Worker, Bandung)

Job Description

Tasks and Responsibilities :

• Assist baristas in preparing and serving coffee beverages during busy periods.
• Ensure all coffee stations are stocked with necessary supplies, such as coffee beans, milk, syrups, and cups.
• Keep the bar area clean and organized at all times.
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee supplies and kitchen materials.
• Restock items as needed throughout the shift to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, checking for quality and accuracy.
• Clean and maintain coffee equipment, such as espresso machines, grinders, and blenders.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks as required.
• Report any equipment issues or malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
• Provide support to baristas in ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas behind the bar, including counters, sinks, and storage areas.
• Ensure that all utensils and equipment are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
• Assist with washing and drying dishes, utensils, and glassware as needed.
• Work collaboratively with the entire coffee shop team to ensure efficient service.
• Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by maintaining a professional and cooperative attitude.

Requirements :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role in the coffee or hospitality industry is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and equipment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented and proactive.
• Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy items.
• Friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Basic spoken English, with the ability to understand and communicate with customers and staff.
