SOC Analyst (IT Security)

Job Description

Tasks and Responsibilities :

• Proactively monitor and analyze network traffic and security events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities
• Investigate security incidents, escalate as necessary, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues
• Perform regular assessments and audits to ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards
• Implement and maintain security tools, technologies, and processes to enhance the overall security posture
• Collaborate with the IT team to develop and refine security-related procedures and documentation
• Provide regular reporting and recommendations to management on security-related matters
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and best practices to continuously improve security measures

Requirements :

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a SOC Analyst or in a similar IT security role
• Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and technologies
• Proficiency in security monitoring tools, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and log management systems
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
• Analytical mindset with the ability to investigate and troubleshoot security incidents
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
• Certifications in cybersecurity, such as CISSP, CISA, or GIAC, are preferred
