General Accountant

Job Description

A Whole Foods Company in Canggu, Bali ​is looking for a talented and enthusiastic General Accountant (Full-time)

Tasks and Responsibilities :

• Maintain and update the general ledger as well as ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements)
• Provide financial reports to management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes as well as ensuring all financial data is accurate and up to date
• Track and record inventory transactions as well as ensuring the financial system reflects the correct value of stock on hand
• Ensure timely and accurate calculation, preparation and submission of all relevant tax returns (corporate tax, VAT, income tax, etc.)
• Prepare and process fund releases and payments for vendors, suppliers and other operational expenses
• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company has the necessary liquidity to meet operational and financial obligations
• Reconcile company bank accounts and ensure the accuracy of transactions

Requirements :

• Indonesia Citizen
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
• Proven at least 2 years of experience working as a General Accountant or in a related position
• Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero) and advanced Excel skills
• Familiarity with local tax laws, tax returns and tax filings (corporate tax, VAT, income tax)
• High level of accuracy in financial record-keeping, reporting and reconciliation
• Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to management
• Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
• ​Experience in managing financial compliance including local accounting standards and tax regulations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing FMCG environment and handle multiple priorities
