Job Description

Tasks and Responsibilities :

Customer Engagement :
• Greet customers warmly and establish rapport to understand their preferences and needs.
• Actively listen to customer stories and requirements to provide tailored recommendations.
• Offer guidance on selecting jewelry pieces that match their personal style, occasions, and budgets.

Product Knowledge :
• Develop a deep understanding of jewelry materials, gemstones, settings, and design trends.
• Explain the qualities and characteristics of different metals and gemstones to customers.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging jewelry designers.

Styling Expertise :
• Provide creative styling suggestions for coordinating jewelry pieces and enhancing overall looks.
• Offer insights into how different jewelry items can be worn together or separately.

Sales and Customer Service :
• Utilize effective sales techniques to showcase the value and uniqueness of each jewelry piece.
• Guide customers through the purchasing process, including discussing pricing and payment options.
• Handle negotiations professionally and ethically.

Customization :
• Collaborate with customers interested in designing custom jewelry pieces.
• Collect detailed specifications and preferences for the custom design.
• Liaise with designers and craftsmen to ensure the creation of the desired piece.

Ethical Practices :
• Disclose any treatments or enhancements applied to gemstones.
• Educate customers about ethically sourced materials and responsible practices.

Product Presentation :
• Create visually appealing jewelry displays that attract customers’ attention.
• Maintain well-organized and clean display cases to enhance the shopping environment.

Jewelry Care Guidance :
• Educate customers on proper jewelry care, cleaning methods, and maintenance tips.
• Provide advice on preserving the brilliance and quality of gemstones and metals.

Relationship Building :
• Establish and maintain strong customer relationships through personalized interactions.
• Follow up with customers to ensure their satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

Administrative Tasks :
• Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Maintain records of customer interactions, purchases, and inquiries.

Requirements :

• High school diploma or equivalent; jewelry-related education or certification is a plus.
• Ability to speak Hokkien fluently is a plus.
• Proven experience in sales, customer service, or a similar role, preferably in a luxury retail environment.
• In-depth knowledge of jewelry materials, gemstones, metals, and design principles.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with diverse customers.
• Strong communication skills to convey product information and recommendations effectively.
• Sales-driven mindset with a passion for meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Creativity in styling and suggesting jewelry combinations.
• Attention to detail and the ability to handle delicate and valuable items.
• Ethical awareness and commitment to transparent business practices.
• Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
