Job Description
Tasks and Responsibilities :
• Oversee food handling and hygiene of wine cellars; conduct inspections according to USPH standards
• Work with the Beverage staff to make suggestions as to what types of wines should be purchased in the future onboard DCL
• Promote and analyze sales
• Conduct wine education seminars and tasting’s for Guests
• Provide wine descriptions from all growing regions worldwide including varieties, growing conditions, current and future trends, and have a strong working knowledge of all other alcoholic beverages, including beer/ales, mixed drinks and cocktail
Requirements :
• Minimum two years experience in wine and Guest service related field
• Formal wine training required
• Ship experience preferred
• Knowledgeable in “old world” as well as “new world” wines
• Proven ability to take ownership and develop area of responsibility
• Outgoing personality
